Enel Green Power

Enel Green Power was founded in December 2008 inside the Enel Group to develop and manage power generated from renewable resources worldwide.

The Company manages more than 1,200 power plants on five continents and has assets in operation or under construction in many countries and manages development activities in a further 5 countries. It has over 56 GW of installed renewable capacity from a mix of renewable resources, including wind, solar, hydroelectric and geothermal. It's also one of the founding members of RES4MED – Renewable Energy Solutions for the Mediterranean and Beyond – an association created in 2012 to promote renewable energy and the infrastructure needed to deliver electricity throughout the Mediterranean area.

Enel Green Power is also involved with perovskite solar cell development, with plans to offer more efficient solar modules based on tandem silicon-perovskite cells. The final products are planned to reach efficiencies of around 30%.
